About the inquiry

Public inquiry for an age of distortion.

Hosted by Jim Detjen, Think First examines the ideas, assumptions, evidence, events, and stories that shape how we perceive and understand the world. It pays particular attention to gaslighting, poetic truth, institutional process, and the widening gap between what sounds persuasive and what can be verified.

Each episode begins with curiosity, separates fact from interpretation, tests claims against evidence and competing explanations, and leaves conclusions open to revision as stronger evidence and better understanding emerge.
